The words. Every post on this site has been written entirely by me: no AI drafts, no AI edits, and no AI “polish”. And mostly you can tell because I’ve long decided that my English teacher was wrong about starting a sentence with a conjunction. That’s now my house style. And em-dashes? AI merely adopted them; I was born with them, moulded by them—where do you think they learnt them from?

fwiw, I’ve written about my enthusiasm for AI-generated code and my revulsion at AI-generated text.

The code. On the other hand, the site itself is now maintained and developed using AI tools for writing the code. As were most of the projects in the portfolio.

The machinery. Built with Bridgetown, styled with Tailwind, and served from Cloudflare Pages. The archive goes back to 2005 and I have even earlier posts that I’ve unpublished. This blog has survived several rebuilds and migrations along the way so you’ll forgive me if older posts contain some formatting issues.
